Is it ethical for a Professional PhD to criticize a competitor company in the name of science?
My understanding of a Professional PhD is that they are very focus in a specialize area of research. They may read about related subjects from their fellow PhDs, but will anyone ever read 100% of all the research under a generic topic? I would argue that they may not have the time to read ALL the research papers (At most just the Abstract). So, is it fair for one PhD to discredit another simply due to the lack of knowledge in a particular area?

Does it mean that a PhD is licensed to criticize anything under the sun? And the whole world will have to take their word as gospel truth? Does PhD = Wisdom? Questionable!

Please don't get me wrong. I have full respect to all PhDs. They are more educated than anyone of us. They have spent their precious time and effort to achieve this elite title. They definitely deserve due respect for their achievement. However, Wisdom is more than just education. It requires maturity and real life experience to be truly wise. We have our own brains. Use it and make our own decisions rather that trusting 100% on another person's "wise" opinion.
